EveryPlate exists specifically to compete on price, and it does, running consistently cheaper than HelloFresh, Home Chef, or Blue Apron even after the introductory discount wears off. The savings come from a smaller weekly menu, usually around a dozen recipes instead of 25-plus, and simpler packaging that skips some of the extras bundled into pricier kits. Recipes still cover 30 to 40 minutes of real cooking, nothing pre-chopped here, but ingredient lists run shorter and repeat pantry staples across multiple dishes.
Because it’s owned by the same parent company as HelloFresh, the backend logistics and delivery reliability track closely with a much bigger, more established operation, which isn’t always true of smaller budget competitors. Add-ons like extra protein or dessert still cost extra and can erode the low base price fast if you’re not careful at checkout. It’s a solid choice for a household watching the weekly grocery number closely, as long as you’re fine with a smaller recipe rotation.
