1% Fitness is a Utah meal prep company that cooks high-protein, portion-controlled meals each week and either hands them over locally or ships them. It's prepared food, not a kit: meals arrive cooked and "ready to reheat in the microwave or stovetop," and the company describes them as "Fresh, never frozen." Its homepage calls them "Chef-Prepared Macro Meals Delivered Weekly," and a customer review on the site describes the business as "family owned and operated." If you train, count protein and don't want to cook, this is squarely aimed at you.
How ordering works
You pick a plan, then a size. The main line is Fit, which the company calls "Our Most Popular plan," with "High Protein Meals with a good balance of carbs and fats." There's also a GLP-1 line, a Custom Meals option where you "Choose your protein and carbohydrate amount," a Value Box of chef favourites, and bulk proteins and sides by the pound.
The weekly chef-cooked plan comes in 7 meals (1 a day), 10 meals or 14 meals (2 a day), in a choice of portion size: Burn at about 420 calories a meal or Build at about 555. The how-it-works page also mentions 5-day or 7-day plans with optional breakfasts and snacks. You can hand-pick meals from the week's menu or take the Quick Pick option, which fills your box from it with the chef's top-rated selections for the week. The Fit menu for the following week is posted on Monday, and the company says it runs "8 Rotating Menus For Our FIT Line"; the GLP-1 page claims "158+ rotating meals" across its range.
It's a weekly subscription you can skip or cancel "from your account dashboard, up to 72 hours before your next order processes," with "No fees, no contracts." One-time purchases are also offered on some products.
What it costs
1% Fitness publishes its prices, and they depend on meal count and portion size. The weekly chef-cooked plan starts at $129.95, and the listed options run up to $214.95. Subscribing saves 20%, which brings the entry plan to $103.96 a week. On top of that, a new-customer offer gives "40% off your first box + 20% off every box after" with code YUMMY, and the site says your first box "drops to $77.97." That $77.97 is a first-box rate only; after it, the 20% subscription discount applies. There's also a "First box guarantee": "if you don't love it, we'll make it right." The plan page shows 714 reviews.
The GLP-1 plan is listed from $139.95 to $204.95 depending on size, again with 20% off on subscription. The Value Box is "Starting at $10.60 per meal," and Custom Meals are sold per meal. Bulk items are priced individually, for example a 16 oz pack of 90/10 ground beef, and vegetable sides such as broccoli, green beans, Brussels sprouts, zucchini noodles and cauliflower, each at "3 - 1 cup servings per container." The bulk cart asks for a minimum of 7 meals. Shipping insurance is optional at checkout, and the company says that without it, it can't cover lost, stolen or damaged packages.
The food itself
The company says "All of the meals are calibrated to be high protein with a good balance of carbs and fats," and every container is macro-labelled. The company describes its proteins as "antibiotic-free, hormone-free," naming cage-free chicken, grass-fed beef and sustainably sourced seafood. A recent Fit menu included Turkey Thai Meatballs, Hungarian Goulash, Marinara Parmesan Chicken, Korean BBQ Steak, Spicy Beef Stew, Southern Peach Chicken, Pork & Grits, Chicken Bacon Gnocchi, Luau Pork and a Hatch Chili Turkey Bowl, with Build, Burn and GLP-1 versions of most dishes. Breakfasts and snacks include a Bacon Egg Quesadilla, Turkey Egg Bakes, rotating pancakes, brownies and peanut butter bars.
Heating is quick: 90 seconds in the microwave for a fresh meal, or 4 to 5 minutes from frozen if you haven't thawed it. Meals keep in the fridge for "up to 10 days," helped by removing oxygen from the packaging, and "can be frozen for 90 days." The company notes that it is "not an allergy free facility" but lets you exclude items such as dairy or gluten.
The GLP-1 line is where the marketing turns medical. The company says each meal carries 30-50g of lean protein "to help prevent the muscle loss commonly associated with these medications," that the meals are "dietitian-approved," and it runs customer testimonials about weight and muscle. Those are 1% Fitness's claims and customers' accounts, not independent evidence. Practically, the GLP-1 plan works like the main one: 7, 10 or 14 meals a week, a hand-picked "Build Your Own" box or a pre-loaded "Quick Pick," and the company says these meals use "no seed oils, and no preservatives."
Who it reaches
In Utah, you can pick up at one of the company's locations or get local delivery, choosing at checkout. Elsewhere, "your meals will be shipped via FedEx or UPS," with a tracking number emailed at dispatch. Packages are insulated with "both ice packs and dry ice," and the company says meals "ship fresh and arrive fresh." The site doesn't list which states it ships to, give transit times or state a shipping fee. It does say the packaging is "recyclable and BPA free."
What the site leaves open, and who it suits
The gaps are the shipping cost and delivery area outside Utah, and the exact mapping of each price to each plan size, which you see as you choose options. Calorie figures are given per portion size rather than dish by dish in the plan descriptions.
1% Fitness suits lifters and anyone tracking macros who wants fresh, high-protein meals with published prices, a choice of portion size and easy skipping. Utah residents get the most flexibility, with pickup and local delivery. The GLP-1 line suits people on those medications who want a high-protein menu built around them, as the company describes it. It suits less well anyone with a serious allergy, given the shared kitchen, and anyone outside Utah who wants to know the shipping cost before choosing meals.
