Fit 'n Prep Meals cooks, portions and flash-freezes prepared meals in its own kitchen in Groveland, Florida, then delivers them locally or ships them. It's not a kit. The homepage describes "Chef-prepared meals from our USDA-inspected Florida kitchen," with global flavors and real ingredients, and notes the kitchen is "Produced under federal inspection," with USDA establishment numbers EST. 3416 for meat and P-3416 for poultry. If you're in Central Florida and want macro-labelled meals you can pick up or have dropped off, it's a practical local option, and it ships beyond the state too.

How ordering works

It runs on a simple weekly rhythm: order by Tuesday at 11:59 PM and your meals are ready the following Monday. You pick a line, Classic ("Balanced macros, everyday favorites"), Keto ("Low carb, high protein"), Pescatarian ("Seafood-forward plates") or Breakfast ("Start the day with protein"), then a package size and your meals from that line. Classic packages come in 5, 10, 12 or 14 meals; Breakfast in 5 or 10. "The bigger the package, the lower the price per meal."

You can buy once or subscribe; subscribing saves 10%, and a one-time purchase is "full price, no 10% discount." There's also a Build a Meal tool, where you choose a protein, carb, vegetables and sauce and slide each to the exact portion, with "Price, macros and a live Nutrition Facts panel" updating as you go, up to a 15 oz tray. Bulk proteins sold by the pound round out the options: grilled chicken, top sirloin, ground beef and turkey, salmon, cod, swai and shrimp, cooked and portioned, for building your own plates. The minimum order is $50.00.

Cancelling is straightforward: "You may cancel your order for a full refund any time before the order cutoff." After Tuesday night, the meals are committed to production.

What it costs

Prices are published. The largest Classic package shows $167.86, or "$11.99 per meal," and the largest Keto package $184.66, or "$13.19 per meal." A 5-meal Breakfast package is $67.45, or "$13.49 per meal." Subscription takes another 10% off. In the meal builder, "every plate starts at $4.00 for prep and packaging," then you add ingredients; grilled chicken breast is +$4.50 for 6 oz, salmon +$7.00, jasmine rice +$1.75 and steamed broccoli +$1.50.

Delivery is priced by distance: within 25 miles $5.99, 25 to 50 miles $8.99, 50 to 75 miles $12.99, the St. Petersburg and Pinellas area $13.99, and the Tampa Bay corridor at 75 to 150 miles $19.99. Local delivery is free on orders over $100, and pickup in Groveland is free. Nationwide shipping is calculated "live at checkout from your ZIP code and box weight." Sales tax of 7% applies. There's no first-box promotion beyond a 10% discount for signing up to texts.

The food itself

The company says Classic meals average "Around 456 kcal and 44g of protein per meal, with controlled portions and full macros on every label." Every meal is sealed in a microwave-safe tray with a nutrition panel, ingredient list and heating instructions on the lid, and portions are 15 oz. Heating takes "6 minutes from frozen, 2 minutes from thawed," and the meals are meant to stay frozen until you heat them.

The meal builder shows the ingredient range: grilled chicken breast (42 g protein per 6 oz), lean ground turkey and beef, grilled top sirloin, oven-baked salmon and cod, sautéed shrimp and an egg white frittata; carbs like jasmine rice, cilantro lime rice, yellow rice and black beans, sweet potato mash and spaghetti; vegetables such as broccoli, green beans, rainbow carrots and collard greens; and sauces including chimichurri, lemon piccata and guacamole. Allergens are flagged per ingredient.

The regular menu rotates, and the company suggests you "call us to hear what's running a specific week." Separately, National Specialties are "Ten signature dishes from various national cuisines shipped anywhere in the US with dry ice," which "keep for 12 months in your freezer."

Who it reaches

There are 3 routes. Pickup is free at 1516 Max Hooks Road in Groveland on Mondays, 9:00am to 2:00pm (the shipping page lists weekday hours of 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM for the kitchen). Local delivery covers Central Florida and the Tampa Bay area, naming Groveland, Clermont, Minneola, Winter Garden, Orlando, Tampa and surrounding ZIP codes, on Mondays. Everyone else gets UPS: boxes "leave our kitchen every Monday and arrive Wednesday on UPS 2-day service," packed with an insulated liner and dry ice. The company also sells through an Amazon store, useful for gifts or addresses outside its routes, and on UberEats for same-day orders, though it says "Ordering direct is still the cheapest way to eat with us." The testimonials on the homepage come from local customers in Clermont, Groveland and Winter Garden, one of whom praises being able to "pick exactly which meals go in my box." Alaska, Hawaii and US territories are "Not available," so despite the homepage's "shipped nationwide," it's the contiguous states only.

What the site leaves open, and who it suits

The site doesn't lay out the full rotating menu in advance, and the company invites you to call for the week's dishes. Nationwide shipping costs appear only at checkout. Problems with an order must be reported "within 48 hours of delivery or pickup," with your order number, a description and clear photos; the company then decides between a replacement and a refund. Because the food is perishable, it doesn't accept returns.

There's a wholesale side too, which says something about the operation's scale: retailers can buy at "$8.99 per meal with a $13.99 MSRP," in cases of 10 meals with a 5-case minimum.

Fit 'n Prep suits Central Florida residents who want affordable, high-protein frozen meals with published prices, plus anyone who likes to set their own portions to the ounce in the meal builder. The $11.99 per-meal rate on the biggest Classic package is competitive. It suits less well someone in Alaska or Hawaii, anyone who wants a fresh, never-frozen product, or anyone who wants to browse a full menu online before ordering.
